Cody Brumfield is a full-stack Web Developer. Cody is responsible for The Data Center’s web-based products and initiatives ensuring robust functionality across multiple platforms using the latest standards, user-centered design, and a talent for innovative, sophisticated interface design. He is responsible for the full range of web-based needs from implementation and maintenance of stakeholder-driven functionality and security to collaborative formation of website design and data visualizations.
Originally from New Orleans, Cody began his career as a policy and data analyst at a professional association focused on college admissions, financial aid, and student records. Working to create reports backed by large data sets led Cody to the world of databases and web development and, eventually, a career as a full-stack web developer.
In 2013, after nearly 10 years in Washington D.C. (and as many trips home for Mardi Gras and Jazz Fest), he returned to New Orleans to join Whetstone Education, an Ed. Tech startup focused on K-12 teacher coaching. As CTO of this startup, Cody spent approximately five years building the technology and business from an early stage startup to a leading SaaS company with a national profile serving over 1,000 schools and 30,000 teachers.
Cody spent the past year working as a consultant with several startups, mostly focused on DevOps, business strategy, and cloud computing architecture. Desiring to return to the nonprofit world, Cody joined The Data Center in August of 2019.
